Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) in Canada is a great opportunity for skilled workers from around the world to immigrate to Canada. It provides a streamlined and objective system for selecting immigrants based on their qualifications and abilities. The FSWP has several benefits, such as the potential for permanent residence within six months and successful career prospects in Canada.

To pursue immigration through the FSWP, here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Check your eligibility with us

Step 2: Submit your Express Entry profile on the website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), which manages the FSWP under the Express Entry application management system.

Step 3: If you meet the eligibility requirements and have a competitive Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors like age, education, language skills, and work experience, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. IRCC conducts Express Entry draws approximately every two weeks.

Step 4: If you receive an ITA, you can proceed to submit your completed permanent residence application to IRCC. After the processing of your application is completed, you can expect to receive your permanent residence status within six months.

In order to be eligible for the FSWP, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. One year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled occupation classified under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill level 0, A, or B.
  2. Language proficiency equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or French across all abilities (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
  3. Canadian educational credential (certificate, diploma, or degree) or a foreign credential along with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report.
  4. Score at least 67 out of 100 points on the FSWP grid, which assesses factors such as age, education, work experience, arranged employment, language ability, and adaptability.
  5. Meet the settlement funds criteria, which may require demonstrating a certain amount of savings to support yourself financially upon arrival in Canada.

By fulfilling these criteria and successfully going through the application process, you can increase your chances of immigrating to Canada through the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
